Being invited to speak at the ICM (International Congress of Mathematicians) is often regarded as one of the highest honors that a mathematician can receive.  It is a truly international recognition of the depth and ground breaking impact of their research.  The department congratulates Van Vu and Dan Spielman on their invitation to speak at the 2014 ICM in Seoul.
