Van Vu awarded Fulkerson Prize

The Fulkerson Prize, sponsored jointly by the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Optimization Society, is awarded for outstanding papers in discrete mathematics. Van Vu shared a prize with his coauthors Anders Johansson and Jeff Kahn for their 2008 paper "Factors in random graphs'' which (in particular) solved the Shamir problem on the threshold for perfect matchings in Erdos-Renyi random graphs.
