Position in Mathematics Instruction

The Mathematics Department at Yale and Yale College Science and Quantitative Reasoning Center seek an individual with scholarly interests and demonstrated expertise in college mathematics education. Title and salary commensurate with experience.The successful candidate will teach courses for majors and non-majors, work with faculty and graduate instructors on the improvement of their teaching, and provide innovative leadership in curriculum development and pedagogy. A candidate who wishes to carry out a research program in addition to the duties above would be able to do so, but this is not a requirement or a criterion for consideration of applications. This appointment will be on a multi-year basis, renewable depending on mutual satisfaction.Qualifications: PhD in mathematics, intellectual breadth, and a distinguished record of leadership in mathematics education, both inside and outside of the classroom.  Candidates will have passion for mathematics education, a genuine interest in students and a demonstrated ability to work successfully with faculty and staff for the advancement of mathematics education.
