The Mathematics Department is very pleased to announce that George D. Mostow, Henry Ford II Professor (Emeritus), has been awarded the Wolf Foundation Prize in Mathematics for 2013. He will share this award with Michael Artin from MIT. Mostow is honored for his fundamental contributions to geometry and Lie group theory.The Wolf prizes will be given out in a ceremony at the Knesset in Jerusalem, in May 2013.
