The department is saddened by the passing of Emeritii Professor Robert H. Szczarba, Percey F. Smith Professor of Mathematics, on October 18, 2011. The family will have open visiting hours Friday, Oct. 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22, 3pm - 7pm at their apartment on 95 Audubon Street, #307. A memorial will be planned for May 2012.
