On Unitary Representations of Lie Groups

This talk will be about the classification of unitary
representations, and what’s known in the case of Lie Groups. There will be few or no proofs. I’ll try to sketch the background material needed and explain the case of
$GL(n)$ which is completely known. Key names are Vogan, Barbasch among others. Few prerequisites beyond
basics of Lie Groups are needed
