Event description:
We’ll take a brief tour of some of the basic ideas in the study of infinite groups as geometric objects. We’ll include discussion of such things as the Cayley graph of a group, Gromov hyperbolic groups and the boundary of such groups. There will be lots of examples. (And pizza.)
