I will discuss local structure for unipotent-generated rank-two abelian actions on homogeneous spaces X/L, where X is SL(2, R)XSL(2, K), with K real or complex, and L a cocompact irreducible lattice. Unlike their rank-one counterparts (horocycle flows) these rank-two actions have vanishing first cohomology, which implies a weak form of local classification
