Bundles with connection can be equivalently conceived in
terms of their parallel transport functors, which send paths in the
base to morphisms of the fibers.This generalizes from 1-functors to
n-functors, which send n-dimensional volumes to certain n-morphisms.
2-Transport describes gerbes with connection. By differentiating this
setup, String and Chern-Simons 3-connections can be studied using Lie
n-algebra theory.
