Event description:

A (k,L)-complex is a polygonal complex with all faces regular k-gons and
the link at each vertex the graph L. These complexes include
2-dimensional buildings, as well as non-buildings, such as complexes with
links the Petersen graph. We study lattices in automorphism groups of
(k,L)-complexes. For certain hyperbolic buildings, we show that the set
of lattice covolumes is nondiscrete, and for certain non-buildings, we
use results of graph theory to investigate existence, covolumes and
towers of lattices.
