Event description:

sl(2) link homology and its applications.

We will describe a combinatorial homology theory of links which is bigraded and has the Jones polynomial as the Euler characteristic. Its equivariant version is related to Rasmussen’s combinatorial proof of the Milnor conjecture on the slice genus of torus knots.
