Event description:

In information security context, a honeypot is a system specifically set up to act as a target for various types of cyber attacks. Honeypots are an effective method for defending production systems from security breaches and to gain detailed information about attackers’ motivation,
tactics, tools and infrastructure. In this presentation I demonstrate how to utilize low and medium interaction honeypots to gain valuable information about cyber attacks and attackers, and also outline new possibilities for future research.
