Event description:

(Joint with A. Lubotzky) I will talk about a proof of Lubotzky’s conjecture on the quantitative version of Wang’s theorem. Roughly the conjecture says that the asymptotic growth of the number of lattices in G a simple Lie group with covolume at most x, up to an automorphism of G, is the same as the subgroup growth of any lattice in G.
