After providing two motivating examples (i.e. double Bruhat Cells in semisimple groups and a Grassmannian of 2-dimensional subspaces), the main definition of cluster algebra will be introduced. Then some main results such as the finite type classification will be given without proof. The talk is based on Fomin and Zelevinsky’s CLUSTER ALGEBRAS: NOTES FOR THE CDM-03 CONFERENCE.
