Bouncing around a kite

Seminar:

Event time:
Monday, October 1, 2007 - 10:30am to Sunday, September 30, 2007 - 8:00pm

Event description:

I will give a colorful computer demonstration of my recent
solution to the Moser-Neumann problem: Outer billiards has
unbounded orbits when defined relative to any irrational kite.
Along the way, I’ll relate outer billiards to such topics as
polytope exchange maps, quasicrystals, and the modular group.

Note different day and time!
