Alternative compactifications of the moduli space of pointed rational curves

Mori’s program for moduli spaces aims to find and classify modular birational models of given moduli space. On Mori’s program for the moduli of curves, most of modular birational models are obtained by allowing worse singularities. In this talk, I will explain a new type of birational model appears in the case of the moduli space of pointed stable rational curves.
