This is the first lecture in a series. The goal of the series is to introduce the audience to filtered quantizations, a class of algebras of importance in Representation theory and explain some of what we know about their modules. In the first lecture I will cover basic some basic constructions and examples of filtered quantizations (such as the universal enveloping algebras and algebras of differential operators). Time permitting, I will explain a connection to formal quantizations. This lecture will be in KT 801.
