The talks are aimed at a general scientific audience and will discuss topics related to Benoit Mandelbrot's work in physics, finance, and mathematics. The speakers and general areas of their talks are:

This will be a memorial service with all friends of Benoit Mandelbrot invited to speak about their experiences with him, to tell stories, or to talk about how Benoit Mandelbrot and/or his work affected them. Refreshments will be served. There will be a break for lunch.
